Spillemyndigheden en Facebook strijden tegen niet legale casino’s

Facebookgroepen met illegaal aanbod gesloten

Uit onderzoek blijken er talloze Facebookgroepen te zijn die illegaal casino aanbod, aanbieden. Spillemyndigheden de Deense toezichthouder op kansspelen werkte samen met Facebook om deze groepen te sluiten.

Uit het rapport “Report on illegal gambling 2022 dat de Deense Kansspelautoriteit uitbracht. Kwam onder andere naar voren dat er diverse groepen op Facebook stonden die illegale casino’s promoten. Spillemyndigheden is daarop dus een samenwerking gestart met Facebook zelf en het is gelukt deze groepen te verwijderen.

Denemarken blokkeert talloze illegale goksites

Meer dan 137 illegale goksites zijn ondertussen geblokkeerd door de Deense autoriteit. Waarvan 82 in 2022. Dat het blokken van niet legaal aanbod loont is te zien in de cijfers van illegale bezoeken. In vijf jaar tijd daalde deze van 19 miljoen naar 1,5 miljoen bezoekjes per jaar aan illegale casino’s.

Google werkt alsnog niet mee

Zoals bekend staan er in de zoekresultaten van Google dus teveel illegaal aanbod. Vreemde links die redirecten naar niet legaal aanbod en in het advertentie-aanbod staan dus ook niet vergunde casino’s. Dit is ook het geval in de Deense zoekgigant. De Spillemyndigheden hoopt dan ook met Google een soortgelijke samenwerking te kunnen aangaan. Maar dat is dus tot op heden helaas nog steeds niet gelukt.

Facebookgroep met illegale weddenschappen

Ook Nederland heeft last van dergelijke Facebookgroepen. Zelfs een Belgische man uit Antwerpen bood Nederlanders aan voor hen te wedden op weddenschappen die normaal in Nederland verboden zijn. Zoals wedden op corners en gele en rode kaarten bij voetbalwedstrijden. Dit kwam door de Belgische kansspelcommissie aan het licht. Dat een Facebookgroep ontdekte waarop deze 38-jarige man deze weddenschap opties bood.

De man staat waarschijnlijk dus een gevangenisstraf te wachten tussen de zes maanden en vijf jaar. Ook kan de man dus rekenen op een geldboete tussen de €800,- en €800.000,-.

GREF Gaming Regulators European Forum

Het GREF Gaming Regulators European Forum is een samenwerking van nationale toezichthouders van gokken gereguleerde landen. Het treedt dan ook op tegen niet legale casino’s in Europa en bundelen zo hun krachten om zo beter te kunnen samenwerken met partijen zoals Google en Facebook. Het Deense uitsluitingsregister ROFUS dat bij ons Cruks is. Staan 40.000 mensen ingeschreven. De illegale casino’s richten zich dus veelal op deze kwetsbare groepen.

Conclusie

Kansspelautoriteiten zoals Spillemyndigheden, Ksa en Ksc (Belgie) bundelen hun expertise en kennis om illegaal aanbod in Europa en nationaal tegen te gaan. Door zich de bundelen in een organisatie zoals GREF. Hopen zij zich dus sterk te maken om reclamemakende partijen zoals Google en Facebook te doen bewegen. Ook illegale kansspel content te weren.
